🎨 Hi! My name is Katrina. I’m a UX Researcher graduated with a Master's in Human-Computer Interaction at DePaul University.

- I worked in healthcare as a Program Therapist, where I saw how broken systems slow down staff, frustrate patients, and take time away from care. Watching people struggle with tools they rely on every day. Seeing this firsthand pushed me toward pursuing HCI.
- I’m passionate about user research and understanding user needs to create better experiences.
- I focus on user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, surveys, card sorting, and both qualitative and quantitative research.
- I’m also a strong storyteller and problem solver. I enjoy breaking down complex problems, collaborating with cross functional teams, and and helping teams turn research into decisions.
What Drives My Research
♿
Accessibility First
I believe technology should work for everyone, regardless of ability. Inclusive design isn't optional it's essential.
🧠
Empathy-Driven
I don't just collect data. I seek to understand the lived experiences, emotions, and contexts behind user behavior.
🔄
Iterative Mindset
The best research embraces failure as learning. I test early, iterate often, and let user feedback guide every decision
